FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT VS. THE WORKS OF THE FLESH GAME

Using the chalk we provided, draw two different giant outline of fruit with sidewalk chalk.

One to represent Fruit of the Spirit and the other to represent Works of the Flesh. Ask the kids to move to the side according to the behaviors or attitudes you call out.

It’s important that kids not think these are simply a list of good and bad behaviors. The Fruit described in the Bible are character traits created in our hearts by the work of God’s Spirit. Recognizing the outcomes in our lives is a test to help use stay close to Jesus. Don’t let kids assume being good is all that Christianity is about. Their job is to seek a deeper relationship with Christ so his personality will come through in the way they live.

Ex. Being mean to your friends.

Ex. Being patient at the store.

Ex. Stealing all the donuts.

Ex. Sharing the donuts.
